(…) An archive is the embodiment of what remains. Can a book be an archive? While it may at first be just a pragmatic means of sorting, selecting, and classifying, it can also, with the help of creative design, speak to one’s way of thinking. A book is didactic: one must choose an initial key image (or lack thereof) for the cover, after which a linear narrative unfurls, usually organized into pairs on double-page spreads.
